Sakamoto Glass Shop
Sakamoto Glass Shop's fifth noren is currently on display behind their glass doors. It's meant to represent endless wild autumn mountains and the Asahi River which runs behind the shopkeeper's house. This noren is a little shorter than their previous one. The shop was established about one hundred years ago. Back then, they would transport glass down the river by flatboat. In the heart of the shop, there is still a cooking brazier with a pot hook hanging from the ceiling above. |
