This is the house of the fourth-generation owner of the Miyabun restaurant across the street. Since he loves goldfish, he wanted a design based on izumo nankin, a nationally protected species of goldfish found in Shimane Prefecture. Two bright goldfish swim in the noren. Every year, this house welcomes visitors on the first night of the Hina Doll Festival by decorating their stone garden with candles in a bamboo display. They also have a peach-colored noren just for the Hina Doll Festival.
