This house was a grocery store in days gone by. The design on their waving noren comes from the old trademark of the Katayama family. Several years ago, Katsuyama began to have noren stamp rallies a few times a year. During these rallies, there are more than 80 stamps to collect, each patterned after the noren of the community. Prizes are given to those who collect enough. These rallies are the only time that these stamps are available under the noren. On these special days, children's voices can be heard throughout the community, even from early in the morning.
