This house was previously a carpenter's shop named Nishimuraya. When the family created their
noren's design, they combined their family crest with the shape of carpenter's chisels. The overlapping chisels above the crest resemble a traditional storehouse's roof. This family is very enthusiastic about their town's autumn festival and say, "since the noren of Katsuyama have grown more famous, many people come from distant places during the autumn festival."
