The Mizushima family owns and operates Shirakabe, a Chinese restaurant along the main street of the noren community. Their house is at the top of a slope named Dan-zaka, which rises from this street. Their noren has an image based on this slope. It's dyed a soft, gentle color which is a favorite of Mrs. Mizushima. At the bottom of Dan-zaka is a stone guidepost which used to direct traffic along the Izumo Highway during the Edo Period.
