This noren was designed by the Maniwa City Ambassador, Ms. Kazuyo Sejima. It features the
scenery of Maniwa growing and spreading endlessly, and was made from a huge sunshade 130 x 200 centimeters in area. Kazuyo Sejima was born in Ibaraki in 1956 but his permanent residence is in Maniwa City. In 1987, the Kazuyo Sejima Construction Design Office was established. Ms. Sejima is a representative of this company and a professor at Keio University. SANAA, the architect unit founded by Mr. Sejima and Mr. Ryue Nishizawa, has won many prizes and awards.They play an active part at home and abroad.
