Heartwarming Hospitality

A year and a half ago, I moved from Tokyo to Katsuyama when I got married. In this town, everyone greets each other on the street, which was a big surprise for me at first coming from the big city. I've since learned that it's their sense of community which creates this warm atmosphere of hospitality to visitors. The people of Katsuyama all care for their town and want to make it a better place. During the Hina Doll Festival, the whole town unites to welcome visitors. I'm happy to take part in this by making our local brand of saké at my family's brewery.
