Katsuyama Mokuzai Fureai Hall

Built in 1987, this building is a symbol of Katsuyama as a lumber town. It features white walls and a triangular wooden roof made from 300 locally grown cedar trees. Inside the hall, you can feel the natural beauty of trees and wooden products while taking in the many displays of specialty items and pieces of decorative timber. Furniture and other locally produced items are available for purchase, including simple woodworking kits for children.


Open from 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Closed Tuesdays and the New Year Holiday.
Admission: Free but some exhibitions will charge for admittance.
